10. Ke$ha, "Tik Tok"
A friend of mine played this song to me maybe over a month before it received such mainstream attention and radio airplay. The moment I heard it, I knew it would be a hit. It's so catchy and has a good dance beat. You also have to admit, it is pretty cool that P. Diddy laid down some vocals for this practically unknown artist for the beginning of the song.
9. 3OH!3, "Don't Trust Me"
3OH!3 have a unique kind of sound, and I still don't really know what to classify them as. It's on my list even though I still don't know what "moving your hips like Helen Keller" means!
8. Britney Spears, "3"
Britney had some pretty big songs this year, but I chose "3" because of how controversial the lyrics are. Leave it to Britney to sing a juicy and addicting song.
7. Cobra Starship featuring Leighton Meester, "Good Girls Go Bad"
This song will forever be known as the tune that introduced the world to the singing talents of Leighton Meester (of "Gossip Girl" fame), but it's so infectious that it transcended the novelty of having an actress singing on it. Plus, it makes me want to get up and dance.
6. Miley Cyrus, "Party in the U.S.A."
I live in Los Angeles, so when I look to my right I really do see the Hollywood sign. How can I not like this song?
5. Black Eyed Peas, "I Gotta Feeling"
You know you've heard this song, and you have to admit it's really great to hear while crusing down the road and knowing that tonight will definitely be a good night.
4. Adam Lambert, "For Your Entertainment
I admit I voted for Adam during "American Idol" and have been pulling for him ever since. I like his uniqueness and his amazing vocals. He can hit notes I can only dream of. His first single off his debut album is such a fun, sexy song.
3. The cast of "Glee," "Don't Stop Believin'"
The TV show "Glee" has been a phenomenon that I watch religiously, and while the cast's covers have all been great (and have sold thousands of iTunes downloads), their version of the Journey classic stands above everything else they've done.
2. Taylor Swift, "You Belong With Me"
Miss Swift and a huge year in 2009: The CMA's Entertainer of the Year award, millions of albums sold and of course her unforgettable run-in with Kanye West at the VMAs. This song is one of her biggest hits and played countless times on the radio, but I never get sick of it. It really just makes me want to give her a big hug.
1. Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"
There is no other artist who could top this one. Lady Gaga really changed the way I see music. Her fashion, art and crazy performances have just been the most memorable and exciting. "Bad Romance" is her fifth and best single, and I can't wait to hear what's next from such a young artist.
