Congrats to our favourite X factor finalist, Cher Lloyd, as she joins Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Label, which currently represents artists such as Willow Smith and Lil’ Kim.
Apparently a source has told The Sun newspaper “Even though Cher didn’t do terrifically well in the X Factor finals, there’s been a hell of a lot of interest in her. All the labels are on the lookout for sassy, young female artists with bags of attitude, and Cher fits that bill perfectly.”
Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am, has also voiced his wish to take Cher Lloyd “under his wing”, but it now seems he has lost out to Jay-Z.
“Will.i.am’s backing only intensified the battle to get her signature,” the source added. “After weighing up the pros and cons, it was thought that the team at Roc Nation would be best placed to turn her dreams of stardom into a reality.”
Jay-Z was first linked with a move for the 17-year-old singer/rapper back in November after her original X Factor performance of his hits Hard Knock Life and Empire State Of Mind.
“I was very impressed with her version of Hard Knock Life. It should be a track on her debut album and I would happily add my lyrics to it,” he said, hinting that he’d like her on his label. “I could get myself, Kanye West, Beyoncé and Rihanna all working on her debut album and that would make it an automatic hit.”

ถึงแม้แชร์จะไม่ได้มีโชว์ที่น่าจดจำเท่าไหร่ใน X-Factor แต่เธอก็ทำให้บรรดานักปั้นหันมาสนใจเธออยู่ไม่น้อยเลยทีเดียว ตอนนี้ป้ายคำว่า ศิลปินหญิง วุ่ยรุ่น เปรี้ยว แก่น เซี้ยว มันแปะไว้ตรงหน้าผากของแชร์อยู่แล้ว เธอมีคุณสมบัติครบถ้วน
ส่วน Will.I.Am ที่กะจะปั้นหนูแชร์ด้วยมือของตัวเองนั้น ดูเหมือนตอนนี้จะหน้าแหกไม่เป็นท่า เพราะเคยประกาศไว้ว่าจะเริ่มทำเพลงด้วยกันผ่าน Twitter ว่า

Jay-Z นั่นสนใจหนูแชร์ตั้งแต่ตอนที่รู้ข่าวว่าหล่อนเอาเพลงเฮียแกไปคัฟเวอร์ในรายการ ในเพลง Hard Knock Life และ Empire State of Mind เมื่อเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2010 ที่ผ่านมา ส่วนข้อเสนอที่เฮียเจย์ซีแกยื่นมานั้น น่าสนใจไม่น้อย ทำให้หนูแชร์ถึงกับเซ็นเป็นเด็กในสังกัดทันที เฮียแกว่ามางี้
ผมรู้สึกประทับใจกับเพลง Hard Knock Life ในเวอร์ชั่นของเธอมากๆ มันน่าจะเอาไปลงใส่ในอัลบั้มแรกของเธอด้วยนะ และผมยินดีที่จะแก้ไขเนื้อเพลงใหม่สำหรับเธอ ผมอยากจะเอาสัญลักษ์ของตัวเองแปะลงปกอัลบั้มของเธอจังเลย และผมก็จะเอาตัวผมเอง Kanye West, Rihanna และ Beyonce' เข้าไปร่วมในอัลบั้มของเธอด้วยก็ได้ มันจะกลายเป็นเพลงที่ฮิตในทันที
