In a recent interview with IGN The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman talks about the new video game being developed and gives us a little taste of what he's looking to do for season two of the TV series.

Yesterday it was announced that Telltale games is going to develop a episodic zombie adventure game. There really isn't much information on the game yet, Kirkman goes on to explain that it's in the very early stages and they are mapping out the details and story right now.

"[It's] definitely within the comic book world, just like the novel series, [and] it's definitely episodic."

Kirkman then goes on to talk about the second season of the TV series on AMC. He promises fans that they can look forward to seeing more from the comic books finding their way in the the weekly episodes.

"For the most part, it will be circling back around [to the comics] but, like the entirety of the first season, there will always be divergences from the comic story to keep people on their toes."

I never had a problem with the changes that were made. In fact I liked them because I had no idea what to expect. I never really heard any complaints from the first season of the show until after it ended, then fan seemed to turn on it for some reason, but I thought is was awesome!

Kirkman says that he would like to see the characters Michonne, Tyrese and Hershel make it into the second season, then admits,

"Whether or not we'll get to all of them in [Season Two] is up in the air. I'm looking forward to most every comic book character making it into the show, but I'm excited to see who we actually do get to."

He doesn't really reveal many more details, but he is already working with recently hired executive writing producer Glen Mazzara.

"I've been working closely with Glen for a week now, and you're going to have to wait for any details, because I can't reveal anything right now. "

For those of you eagerly anticipating the return of the series, go out and read the comics if you haven't already to keep yourself occupied. If you are reading them then I guess you'll just have to be patient and wait.

Here's an early first glimpse at McFarlane Toys' new line of deluxe 6-inch Walking Dead action figures. This figure is of lead character Rick Grimes as he appears in the comic book series created by Robert Kirkman. Joining Rick will be popular comic character Michonne along with a Zombie Lurker and Zombie Roamer.

Andrew Lincoln has suggested that season two of The Walking Dead could be even darker in tone.

The actor told E! Online that he is keen to focus on the elements that made the show's initial six-part run a success.

"More sweat, more blood, more tears, more fears - just bring it!" he said. "I think we can go darker and we found that there are strengths to the show and hopefully we can focus on that."

Lincoln, who plays former sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes, previously admitted that he wants new episodes of The Walking Dead to shock viewers.

Lincoln's co-star Sarah Wayne Callies, who plays his on-screen wife Lori Grimes, agreed that the series now has the potential to explore darker territory.

"The success of the show gives us the opportunity to go darker than we have before," she suggested. "[We can] push the envelope, go further and make it even more dangerous."

Furthermore Callies some dropped hints about the show's second season.

The actress told TV Guide that the new 13-part run will focus on the repercussions of Dr. Jenner's whispered words to Rick (Andrew Lincoln).

"Jenner took blood work, and it's possible maybe he told Rick something about what he saw in his wife's blood work," she speculated. "I'm kind of basing that on the comic [on which the show is based]. I don't know."

She added that keeping the secret will put further strain on Rick and Lori's relationship.

"It becomes another secret that Rick is going to keep or not keep," she explained. "[It adds to] the power of what we say to each other and what we hold from one another. I think we all feel the burden of our secrets and we all try to protect each other."

Callies also admitted that she did not expect to win the part of Lori when she originally auditioned.

"I read the script and went in to audition, then I went to my car and started crying," she confessed. "I thought I'd never get this and then they cast me. I've been happy ever since."
