Two is better than one, especially when it comes to stylish superstar siblings. And theres no denying that Beyonce and Solange Knowles are the perfect example. In fact, the sensational sisters grabbed the number seven spot on Vogues 2011 Best Dressed List for the Most Stylish Sisters category.
The first place honor went to the actresses-turned-fashion moguls Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Those little Full House babies have come a long way! Other familiar duos that made the list were actresses Elle and Dakota Fanning and British royals Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Pippa Middleton.
As for the Knowles sisters, we love that both have taken a unique approach to their personal styles. Beyonce always showing us the sexy and sassy side of Sasha Fierce (even pregnancy wont keep her out of six inch stilettos) and Solanges bold mix-and-match ensembles complete with sky-high hair. Theres no sibling rivalry in the fashion department. These ladies are beautifully different in terms of fashion, but when you put them together its double the sartorial magic.
Wearing the same size as your sister doesnt mean doubling your wardrobe for Solange Knowles. The singer tells Vogue (via Us Weekly) that she never borrowed clothes from Beyoncéwhen we were growing up. She adds, my style is a little more tame, and hers is a little more adventurous.
Still, Solange is supportive of her sisters signature style. I love seeing her with an hourglass silhouette, she tells the fashion bible, admitting that she even checks blogs to keep up with Beys vacation outfits.
She points out a polka-dotted Marc Jacobs outfit a pregnant Bey wore on a recent trip to Paris, saying it was like something Jackie O might have worn, but when Beyoncé wears it, its transformed.
Clearly, theres no cause for sibling rivalry when beauty and style run in the family!
