let's not be too quick to assume a total rule change, though. hasn't it always been Billboard's policy to allow older songs to re-enter if they're being "actively promoted to radio" (or something like that)? a few years ago, the Dixie Chick's "Not Ready To Make Nice" re-entered the Top 10 because of a situation along those lines.
in Paul Grein's blog, it mentions that Madonna's "Like A Prayer" is No. 38 on Hot Digital Songs this week. if all songs are now eligible for the Hot 100, surely that would've made it too? but Paul makes no mention of LAP re-entering the Hot 100.

I suppose. Weren't MJ's promoted at all? and Dixie Chicks re-enter the charts because their song was still not released that long ago. It was not even one year old. So It made sense to chart again. If i Will Always Loves You charts, so should Like a Prayer.
แล้วตอนป๋าไมค์ตาย เขาไม่ได้เล่นเพลงป้าไมค์โปรโมตรึไง ? ส่วนของดิ๊กซี่ ชิกส์ เพลงมันพึ่งปล่อยมาไม่ถึงปี มันก็รีเอ็นเทอร์ได้ตามปกติอยู่แล้ว!!!
