Forget about a dance-off.
Its time for a hat-off between Justin Timberlake and Ashton Kutcher.
Its funny, Timberlake says in the new issue of Fashion Rocks magazine. I keep hearing Ashton Kutcher say how he was responsible for trucker caps. Ive heard him make that statement before.
But Timberlake insists he and his William Rast fashion line partner and childhood friend Trace Ayala are the real trendsetters. Trace and I were wearing them when we were seventeen, Mr. SexyBack says.
Timberlake is well on his way to fashion-icon status. Along with gracing the cover of Fashion Rocks, hes new face of Givenchys mens fragrance, Play!, and stars in William Rasts upcoming fall ad campaign.
But he wasnt always rockin fedoras and tailored suits with sneakers. Timberlake remembers a time when he would spray-paint vintage Air Jordans and shave images of beehives into Ayalas hair.
We just kind of didnt care, Timberlake remembers of his fashion faux pas. We kind of still dont.
