Avril Lavigne has claimed that she was snubbed by Christina Aguilera at an awards ceremony. Speaking after Tuesday night's Brit Awards, where she presented an award to fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, she told ITV2 that she was so affected by Christina's alleged actions, that she feared approaching Boy George. She explained,
"He (Boy George) was stood behind us... and I decided to walk over. I'm a very shy person... and I didn't know what he would do, and he said, 'Oh hi!' He knew who I was and I was like, 'Oh my God!'
"He was super nice, unlike Christina Aguilera, who was really mean to me when I said hi to her. You know what, I said to my friends, 'I'm gonna go over to Boy George and hopefully he won't pull a Christina on me.' "We're label mates, and I presumed (as) we have the same manager... I remember going over... and introducing myself and saying, 'Hi, we kinda do the same thing,' but I just kind of got (an ignorant laugh).

Avril Lavigne ต้องขึ้นเวทีพร้อมกับ Justin Bieber ศิลปินเชื้อสายแคนาเดี่ยนในงาน Brit Awards เมื่อวันอังคารที่แล้ว โดยเธอได้พบเจอกับเจ๊สด Boy George และได้เข้าไปทักทายกัน แต่ก่อนหน้านั้นชีก็แอบกลัวนิดๆว่าจะโดนเชิ่ดใส่เหมือนที่เคยโดนยัยติ๊ทำมาแล้ว
เจ๊เค้ายืนอยู่ข้างหลังพวกเรา ชั้นตัดสินใจที่จะเป็นฝ่ายเข้าไปทักทายก่อน และชั้นก็ยังไม่รู้ชะตากรรมตัวเองเลยในตอนนั้น แต่ปรากฏว่าเค้าเซย์ไฮกลับมา ชั้นก็แบบว่า โอ้มายก๊อด เค้ารู้จักชั้นด้วย
เขาดีกับชั้นมากๆ ไม่เหมือน Christina Aguilera หล่อนทำเลวกับชั้นมากเมื่อตอนชั้นเข้าไปทักทายหล่อน ชั้นยังเคยพูดเล่นกับเพื่อนเลยว่า ถ้าชั้นเข้าไปทักเจ๊ บอย จอร์ช หวังว่าเจ๊เค้าคงไม่ทำคริสติน่าใส่ชั้นนะ คริสติน่ากับชั้นเหมือนเป็นเพื่อนร่วมห้องกัน เพราะเรามีผู้จัดการคนเดียวกัน ชั้นยังจำวันนั้นได้เลย ตอนที่ชั้นเข้าไปเซย์ไฮ เธอน่าจะทำแบบเดียวกัน แต่หล่อนกลับทำแบบว่า เชิ่ดใส่แถมยังหัวเราะเยาะอีก
