Remember Paris Hilton? That socialite who, back in 2006, released an album that somehow ended up being way better than your fave’s entire discography? We’ve all been following the slow progress of her sophomore album ever since, waiting with baited breath for Paris to drop her next musical masterpiece and remind Kim Kardashian just who the true Queen of the Scene really is. In a new interview to promote her upcoming reality series The World According to Paris, the vocal powerhouse reveals that she’s scrapped her original album for being too pop, and is now moving more towards the club music that’s so popular now.

“I have a recording studio in my house so any time I have free time I’m writing and working [on new music],” she told reporters on a conference call to promote her new show The World According To Paris.

“I’ve been working on this album for a really long time because I want it to be perfect. I recently changed the direction of the album. It was more pop before but now I’m getting rid of a lot of songs and going into a different direction with house music, so it will be a lot more dance and club.”

As for a release date, Paris says it’s coming “really soon”.
