Last April, Fuji TV's Mezamashi TV commissioned Charice to sing the song, "Louder" for their segment "Kyo no Uranai CountDown! - 今日の占いカウントダウン！ (Means "Countdown of today's fortune-telling"
This time Charice would be lending her voice in singing the theme song of NTV's upcoming drama "Bull Doctor."
This marks the first time for Charice to sing a song for a tv drama in Japan.
It was said that the producer of the series was so impressed by Charice's voice, he asked her to sing the song for the drama.
Mr.Toda Kazuya said, "It was shocking when I first heard Charice's songs. I was so fascinated by her voice which is so stretching and powerful, and the experience got me reaching her and asking for a song. I have this strong confidence and conviction of my heart that a message of the humanism this drama will spin, and emotions Charice will bring to this drama will make a fantastic collaboration."
Bull Doctor will be starring a number of famous actors including Makiko Esumi, Goro Inagaki from SMAP, Satomi Ishihara, and others. Esumi will play a specialist in forensic medicine who tries to solve tough criminal cases. Ishihara will play a detective against Esumi, Inagaki will play another specialist in forensic medicine with a mysterious backgroud.
Esumi who stars in the drama said, "The amazingly powerful, crystal clear voice of Charice is truly miraculous, or is a miracle itself. The vision and the message of the drama does match her straight forward, energetic and positive way of her life pursueing her visions and dreams, hence with this wonderful song she brought, it makes the drama truly completely a great story. I am so impressed and moved!"
"Far As The Sky" lyrics was written by Seiji Hiratoko. Music was composed by Yusuke Tanaka (AKB48, Ikinomo Gakari, YUKI, Mika Nakashima) and it was arranged by Akimitsu Honma (Ikimono Gakari, Porno Grafitti, Ayumi Hamasaki).
"Far As The Sky" will be available by July 6, 2011 via "Chaku uta" mobille download from featured phones and Smartphones except the iPhone.
"Bull Doctor" will start airing next month every Wednesday at 10 pm (JP time) on NTV.
