Leona Lewis's new single 'Collide' will be released on September 4.

The 'Happy' star yesterday revealed that the lead single from her upcoming third album will premiere on Scott Mills's BBC Radio 1 show this afternoon.

The dance-pop anthem, built around a staccato piano riff, was written by Autumn Rowe and produced by acclaimed hitmaker Sandy Vee.

"I'm excited for people to see a different side to my music," Lewis said of 'Collide'. "I'm a fan of so many different genres and styles. For me this song has all the great ingredients of a summer anthem."

The 26-year-old Hackney songstress added: "I can't wait for my fans to hear it and to share the rest of the album."

It has also been confirmed that the single package will feature a remix by Grammy Award-winning Dutch producer and DJ Afrojack.

While working on her highly-anticipated third album, Lewis has also collaborated with the likes of Claude Kelly (Bruno Mars), Chuck Harmony (Rihanna), Ammo (Katy Perry), Jonas Quant (Hurts), Emeli Sande, Steve Robson (Take That), Naughty Boy, Al Shuz (Alicia Keys) and Fraser T Smith (Adele). She has also reunited with 'Bleeding Love' and 'Happy' writer, OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder.

Lewis, who has sold over 10 million albums worldwide with her Spirit and Echo LPs, will release her still-untitled new collection in November.
