In the Official Albums Chart, Adele’s record-breaking 21 returns to the top spot for a third stint this year, climbing from last week’s number two. 21 has now spent 17 weeks as the Official Albums Chart number one. It has been in the chart for a total of 25 weeks and has never been lower than number two. Meanwhile, Adele’s debut album 19 is this week’s number three, climbing from last week’s number four. 19 has spent a total of 34 weeks in the Official Albums Chart Top 10, one of those weeks at number one, and has never been out of the Top 10 this year, although it was released some two years ago.

Boy band The Wanted nail their second number one single and fourth Official Singles Chart Top 5 hit in less than a year with new release Glad You Came smashing through the 100,000 sales barrier, the Official Charts Company reports today.
With a final first week tally of over 117,000, Glad You Came has given band members Jay McGuinnes, Max George, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaren and Tom Parker the biggest first week single sales of their career to date.
The lead track off their forthcoming second album, Glad You Came follows their breakthrough debut single All Time Low which also went straight to number one (November 2010), Heart Vacancy (number two, October 2010) and Gold Forever, the single the band recorded for Comic Relief (number three, March 2011). The band’s debut album, The Wanted, was an Official Albums Chart number four hit in October last year.
