Circusis the sixth studio album from American pop singer Britney Spears. The album was announced by Jive Records on September 15, 2008, and is set for release in the United States on December 2, 2008[2], in accordance with Spears's 27th birthday. The first single, "Womanizer" was set to be released to radio stations on September 22, 2008, but was pushed back to September 26, 2008.
Lady GaGa, Lil Jon,[5] J.R. Rotem, Keri Hilson, Sean Garrett, Guy Sigsworth, Nate "Danja" Hills, Bloodshy & Avant, Max Martin, Dr. Luke, and Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins have all been confirmed to be working with Spears on Circus.
According to new reports, Fashion desginers Phillipe and David Blond will be meeting with Britney this week to design an outfit to be used on the "Circus" album cover.
Phillipe & Blond, specifically known for designing elaborate and detailed corsets, have worked with celebrities from Madonna, Rhianna, Shakira, Fergie, and Beyonce ("Upgrade U" music video). Their resume also includes Rhianna's outfit at the Fashion Rocks event and styling Alicia Keys at the 2008 BET Awards.
Corsets are not a new fashion-favorite for Britney - designing her A Man's Dream line in 2004 in which she auctioned off and donated to charity.
Britney, in a corset, with a ring of fire and a tiger in the background? Sounds like a circus to me!
