Rap-metal rockers Linkin Park are ready to come back and takeover the charts once again, announcing today that their new album, titled A Thousand Suns, will drop on September 14 the same day as Kid Cudi and Kanye Wests new albums.
Preceding the record will be a new single The Catalyst, which will hit iTunes and radio on August 2.
Producing A Thousand Suns is frontman Mike Shinoda, and Grammy-winning producer Rick Rubin, who worked on the bands last album, 2007′s Minutes to Midnight.
Expect a chart battle of epic proportions when Linkin Park go up against Kanye West on September 14.
Since debuting back in 2000 with Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park have gone on to sell 50 million records worldwide.
